چکیده

The objective of the article is to present a polynomial waveshaper model of the phonatory excitation signal, as well as investigate its bandwidth when the model is driven by frequency and amplitudemodulated simple harmonic functions. The purpose of the modulation of the driving harmonics is the simulation of a time-variable intonation and accentuation, as well as phonatory regimes that are not simply periodic. The results show that the upper bound of the bandwidth of the synthetic excitation is equal to the upper bound of the bandwidth of the driving functions multiplied by the order of the model plus one. The sampling frequency must be chosen accordingly to avoid aliasing. This result can be generalized to any polynomial shaping function model.

Analysis and synthesis of the phonatory excitation signal by means of a pair of polynomial shaping functions

The object of the presentation is a polynomial waveshaping model of the phonatory excitation signal. The phonatory excitation signal is the acoustic signal that is generated at the glottis via the vibrating vocal folds and the pulsatile airflow. A waveshaper is an operator that transforms a sinusoid into any desired waveform. The waveshaper is approximated by means of a pair of polynomials whos...

SUMMARY DRAFT Synthesis of disordered voices

This presentation concerns the simulation of disordered voices. The synthesis is based on shaping functions, which are nonlinear memoryless inputoutput characteristics that transform a trigonometric driving function into a synthetic phonatory excitation signal. One advantage of the shaping fuction model is that the instantaneous frequency and the spectral balance of the phonatory excitation sig...

Synthesis of disorde

The presentation concerns a synthesizer of disordered voices. The synthesizer consists of a non-linear model of the phonatory excitation and a vocal tract simulation based on a concatenation of cylindrical tubelets. For each tubelet, viscous, thermal and wall vibrations losses are modeled by means of numerical filters. A conical tubelet is added at the lip-end to simulate the transition from on...

The Impact of the Spectral Filter Bandwidth on the Spectral Entanglement and Indistinguishability of Photon Pairs of SPDC Process

In this paper, we have investigated the dependence of the spectral entanglement and indistinguishability of photon pairs produced by the spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) procedure on the bandwidth of spectral filters used in the detection setup. The SPDC is a three-wave mixing process which occurs in a nonlinear crystal and generates entangled photon pairs and utilizes as one of th...

A-New-Closed-form-Mathematical-Approach-to-Achieve Minimum Phase Noise in Frequency Synthesizers

The aim of this paper is to minimize output phase noise for the pure signal synthesis in the frequency synthesizers. For this purpose, first, an exact mathematical model of phase locked loop (PLL) based frequency synthesizer is described and analyzed. Then, an exact closed-form formula in terms of synthesizer bandwidth and total output phase noise is extracted. Based on this formula, the phase ...
